The time honored boy scout motto is "Be Prepared." The time is now to prepare for an emergency in life. By having a basic supply of food, water and a 72 hour emergency kit you will give your family peace of mind in a disaster, job loss or unforeseen catastrophe. A little planning now goes a long way. After all, it wasn't raining when Noah built the ark.
All is safely gathered in

A Stitch In Time Saves Nine

To help make the Mormons work as a well honeyed beehive, all the members of the church get what is called a "calling". It is basically a job you are asked to do voluntarily for an unspecified amount of time. For example, you may be asked to lead the music in a meeting. This may be once a week and take 5 minutes. Or, you may be asked to be a Bishop of congregation. This is our equivalent to a Pastor. It is a very demanding, non paid, full time job, after your real income job. (Members of the church can be demanding!) Callings come and go and usually it coincides with some talent you have like playing the piano. I think I must have a talent for fear and galvanizing others. I have had the "calling" as Emergency Preparedness leader for 3 years. As the Emergency Preparedness Leader it was my job to Galvanize our members.
gal·va·nize
ˈɡalvəˌnīz/
verb
past tense: galvanized; past participle: galvanize
1.
shock or excite (someone), typically into taking action.
"the urgency of his voice galvanized them into action

Now I want to SHOCK and EXCITE You into being disaster ready. Why? Because I love you. (Not so I can say I told you so as Kalia dreamed I did the other night!) haha. Please get some food storage ready. Have some essentials on hand.  Prepare now to help your children be calm and safe. As my mom would say "A stitch in time saves nine."
